Clay Day Rising 1st-5th Grades
Does your child love clay? Did you know that clay is a prehistoric natural material that can be both relaxing and creatively stimulating. Your child will explore multiple hand building techniques with wet clay on day 1, and glaze their fired artwork on day 2. Hand building techniques may include but are not limited to coiling, pinching, slabs, slipping and scoring, texturing, and working additively.
Costs includes clay and glazes and 2 firing costs.
WET DAY: July 13th 9am-11:30am
GLAZE DAY: July 20th 10am-11:30am
CLAY PICK UP DAY: July 24th drop in between 12pm-5pm

** This class is intended for children who enjoy clay and do not have a sensory sensitivity to touching clay with their hands.
Students are encouraged to bring a snack and a water bottle. We will take a fresh air break in the middle of our time together for some good sunshine, weather permitting!
